FULL VIEW plz. To much detail on the planet to see it at a smaller view.

Revamped version of my last submission, Enemy. I did change some things from the planet, and I tried to give the picture more stuff. Hopefully this turned out better. Spent so so so much time on this. By far my most detailed piece ever. Funny story, the psd file was about 70 layers, well, I flattened it, just so that I could get a base image of it, then I copied it and pasted it on a new document to edit. Well I was suppose to undo the flatten, but i wasnt thinking and accidently saved it as one fucken layer. So I lost so much work, and had to edit around all the damn corners to finish it. So, I can no longer edit this piece, it is what it is. Sigh..

Love the civilization details on the planet. ARGHHHH! We all have that 'save often' habit so burned into our minds. It works to our advantage most times but that one time it works against us is always a heart breaker.

I think the streets and cities in the world gives it a cool look. Nice detail. The impact point and flames directly around the impact circle are nice, but the flames around the moon or satellite hitting the planet seems odd. It looks like the flames whip around the back. The flames don't match up to the vibrancy of the impact area which is awsome. Maybe It might look better without the flame detail farther away from the atmosphere. Just a suggestion. But cool work!

It's just catastrophic!! Wonderful work with the planets, I just DL your texture pack, looks great, look forward to molding some worlds ;) I have only made a few attempts thus far... :hmm: getting there! Another thing, the way you made those fery soft waves of light behind and around the smaller planet is awesome, I really like that touch.

A question: About the area around the impact, it's great, and Im wondering if you have ever tried, or would have some ideas as to how you could create a circular ripple effect around the point of impact on the planet surface being hit. I know it may not be realistic, I think I've seen that effect in a few movies and I think it would look awesome in one of these space collision scenes :D

That's pretty good... From an accuracy standpoint, there shouldn't be any glowing-things THAT far from the planet, the atmosphere is too thin. I'm a perfectionist, that wrecks it for me, but I LOVE the planet xD

This is an astounding piece! The detail level and how you put it all together flows really well. I DO wonder why everyone keeps calling the other planet/moon that was pulled into the larger planet's gravity well and eventually collided an asteroid or meteorite... Considering both are considered rough and barren rocks. Maybe it's just me, but that looks rather round and planet-like. At least it wasn't said it was a comet. I like the most how you captured how it's slowly collapsing in upon itself and the stress fractures showing the inner molten core, and the slow shockwave in the larger's atmosphere from the impact with the surface. This shows a gradual impact, and works very well. This is the first work of yours I've seen, so I'm going to have to browse the rest now. Heh.

Incredible! So much detail, so many layers... It's as if you could zoom in on any part of it and still keep seeing more details. I especially like the fact that you can see lights from some kind of civilization dotted across the planet, and that the flames and fallout from the impact are travelling in a subtle arc as if it's being affected by the planet's gravity or magnetic field. Nice job on the font effects too. It's a +fav.
